To Support & Enhance Learning
"AI literacy" is a set of basic knowledge and skills necessary to utilize AI-driven tools productively, safely and responsibly. "AI to Learn" Curriculum (AI2L) is design to help students claim agency in navigating this new technology and shaping their own lifelong success in an ever‑changing world.

​AI2L consists of three components: Framework Documents (which sets the framework and articulate policies about AI use in a learning context), Foundation Series (the base layer of AI literacy learning), and Custom Course Training (which deeply integrate AI tools in course activities and assignments.

Framework Documents
Foundation Series
The Foundation Series is designed to help students learn the basics of AI technology and begin developing sound judgment and skills to use AI ethically and productively. It consists of three modules: 1) Meet ChatGPT, 2) Basics of Prompting, and 3) Ethics of AI Use.
Foundation Level Certification is available for students who complete three (3) hours of training and successfully demonstrate following competencies:

Awareness of what artificial intelligence (AI) is and how it impacts society.

Basic grasp of what generative AI is and how it functions.

Recognition of AI as a tool to support and enhance human learning, not a substitution for it.

Express commitment to follow the AI To Learn “Guidelines for Academic Use of AI” and applicable institutional rules of academic integrity.

Critical assessment of the capabilities and limits of ChatGPT 3.5.

Understanding of the ethical obligation to do and present one’s original work.

Critical assessment of intellectual tasks that AI can or cannot assist ethically in the academic environment.

Beginning prompt engineering skills for ChatGPT 3.5 to generate relevant and accurate information.

Basic competency to use ChatGPT 3.5 as an editing tool.

Ability to apply the above competencies to complete a short writing assignment in an ethical and responsible manner.
